Emergency Callout
“Can I contact you in an Electrical Emergency?”
Yes, Please Contact us, If a quick response is required then telephone or text message is best.
“It’s Saturday night, everything has gone off and I can’t switch it back on. Can you come out now? Will it cost an arm and a leg?”
If we are called out to an emergency out of hours, it will cost more than our usual rates, although we believe our charges are fair. Please contact us, describe your problem and we will do our best to find the best solution. Many problems can be resolved without a visit and if we find its necessary to visit we can advise on costs before setting out. Existing customers will receive discounted call out rates.
General
"Will there be wires or mini trunking all over my walls after the job is completed?"
No, we hate that! We will always try to keep wiring hidden and will explain when we come out to provide your estimate just where and how cabling will be run
"Will we need to get a builder or decorator to fill in after you have fitted our sockets?"
No, we will repair any holes we make, they may need a small amount of preperation before decorating, any competent DIY'er or decorator will be able to do this.
"We have laminate/tiled floors, can you install an extra point?"
Yes, Laminated or Tiled flooring will complicate access to under the floor or the ceiling below where many services are run. We have extensive experience and will be able to overcome these difficulties.
"We have just had new carpet fitted, will you be able to add our extra point?"
Yes, most carpet can be lifted and refitted with no damage, a good quality carpet will usually go back down as though we were never there. Old rubber backed carpets can sometimes cause issues as the backing breaks up when disturbed. We will stop work and advise you if we feel there may be a problem re-laying the carpet.
"We are about to buy our new home, but would like to know if the electrics are safe and are likely to need much work before we commit to buy, can you help?"
Yes, We are happy to provide a simple visual inspection through to full inspection and test, Contact Us to discuss your requirements.
"Do you test or repair Immersion Heaters, Storage Heaters or Electric Showers?"
Yes, We are happy to test and if cost effective to do so - repair. Storage heaters are usually repairable and can last in excess of 20years with very few problems.
"We have/are about to purchase light fittings and sockets which look really smart, will you fit these for us?"
Yes, We are happy to fit your own accessories, you pay only for what we supply, therefore if we only supply labour then that is all you pay for!
