Emergency Callout

“Can I contact you in an Electrical Emergency?”

Yes, Please Contact us, If a quick response is required then telephone or text message is best.

“It’s Saturday night, everything has gone off and I can’t switch it back on. Can you come out now? Will it cost an arm and a leg?”

If we are called out to an emergency out of hours, it will cost more than our usual rates, although we believe our charges are fair. Please contact us, describe your problem and we will do our best to find the best solution. Many problems can be resolved without a visit and if we find its necessary to visit we can advise on costs before setting out. Existing customers will receive discounted call out rates.

"Will there be wires or mini trunking all over my walls after the job is completed?"

No, we hate that! We will always try to keep wiring hidden and will explain when we come out to provide your estimate just where and how cabling will be run

"Will we need to get a builder or decorator to fill in after you have fitted our sockets?"

No, we will repair any holes we make, they may need a small amount of preperation before decorating, any competent DIY'er or decorator will be able to do this.

"We have laminate/tiled floors, can you install an extra point?"

Yes, Laminated or Tiled flooring will complicate access to under the floor or the ceiling below where many services are run. We have extensive experience and will be able to overcome these difficulties.

"We have just had new carpet fitted, will you be able to add our extra point?"

Yes, most carpet can be lifted and refitted with no damage, a good quality carpet will usually go back down as though we were never there. Old rubber backed carpets can sometimes cause issues as the backing breaks up when disturbed. We will stop work and advise you if we feel there may be a problem re-laying the carpet.

"We are about to buy our new home, but would like to know if the electrics are safe and are likely to need much work before we commit to buy, can you help?"

Yes, We are happy to provide a simple visual inspection through to full inspection and test, Contact Us to discuss your requirements.

"Do you test or repair Immersion Heaters, Storage Heaters or Electric Showers?"

Yes, We are happy to test and if cost effective to do so - repair. Storage heaters are usually repairable and can last in excess of 20years with very few problems.

"We have/are about to purchase light fittings and sockets which look really smart, will you fit these for us?"

Yes, We are happy to fit your own accessories, you pay only for what we supply, therefore if we only supply labour then that is all you pay for!

“Will you charge me to visit my home/Premises for an Estimate?”

No, We provide free, no obligation estimates at a time to suit you, we prefer to email but can post out your estimate as soon as its completed.

“I received my estimate a few weeks ago, is it still valid?”

Estimates are valid for 30 Days, if this time has elapsed, contact us, it is likely there is no difference in price.

“When you came to see us and explained the work involved , it all seemed clear. Now I can’t remember what you advised”

The work estimated for will be listed on your estimate, if there is anything that you’re not sure about, just contact us, we are here to help.

“I can’t see any VAT on your Estimate, is it +VAT?”

All prices quoted are inclusive VAT. We are not required to be VAT registered at present.

“Are materials included in the Estimate?”

All prices include materials, unless it is agreed that they are to be supplied by yourselves or a third party, this will be clearly stated in any Estimate or Invoice.

Invoices & Payments

“Do you provide a guarantee?”

Yes, we guarantee all materials supplied by us for 1 year (excluding consumable items such as light bulbs, batteries etc). Many of the items we supply and fit have a guarantee in excess of a year, in which case we will pass on any proof of this at the end of the job.

“My high quality fan you supplied & fitted 2 yrs ago has stopped working – I have a leaflet which states it has a 3yr guarantee, who do I contact?”

No problem, Contact us and we will check it out and replace the faulty item, failure within the 1st year would be covered by our own guarantee and will be free of charge. After the 1st year we will replace the item but may make a modest charge to take out the faulty item and install the replacement.

“Is your workmanship guaranteed? What happens if you cease trading?”

Our workmanship is guaranteed, all jobs notified under Part P of the building regulations carry an additional guarantee which will cover putting right any sub standard work even if, in the unlikely event we were to cease trading.
